Kulgam, Mar 7: The officers of the Drug Control Organization Thursday conducted an intensive inspection of medical shops in Mohammad Pora, Nillow, Arreh, Okey, Mahipora and Chanser areas of district Kulgam.
During the inspection, action was taken against two medicates for violating conditions of licenses mandatory government directive regarding CCTV, computerized billing system and issuance of cash memos while another one was show caused on spot.
Statutory drug samples of pharmacies were also lifted to ascertain their quality parameters.
Officials told that the department has already sensitized chemists to adopt a robust system for maintenance of records and CCTV surveillance to plug in gaps to avoid misuse of essential life saving scheduled formulations.
