The commuters have been facing immense hardships due to the absence of adequate parking slots, but at the same time as the few available slots are punishing them to the wall, especially in the commercial hub Lal Chowk where the shoppers, who are planning to buy some essentials from the market are being forced to park their vehicles miles away from the actual location they need to visit. The available parking slots on the road sides designed by the local authorities here are seemingly meant specifically for the shopkeepers and others while the shoppers are being forced to face immense hardships. Dozens of vehicles can be seen parked on the roadsides here at Hari Singh High Street (HSHS) market, but it has been observed that these vehicles belong to the shopkeepers only, having their shops in the market, but those visiting the market to buy some essentials in the market find no space to park their vehicles for mere ten minutes as the men in uniform, who remain deployed there have been seen clicking the pictures of the vehicle for challan multiple times. The commuters are not even being allowed to stop for just a minute or so, which simultaneously is adding to their misery and thus indicating the need to come up with proper parking slots within the busiest markets, which will help the commuters and especially shoppers to heave a sigh of relief. The concerned authorities need to look into the matter and ensure that enough space is made available to the shoppers to ensure they don’t face any hardships while they are shopping in the busiest markets.
