Three vehicles involved in illegal mining seized in B’la: Police

Srinagar, Jun 3: Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals at Shrai & Delina Ghat, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Baramulla on Monday have seized three vehicles and arrested three drivers.
The Police initiated the action under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla & SDPO Tangmarg assisted by SHO PS Tangmarg & IC PP Mirgund. Police seized 02 tippers, 01 tractor & arrested their drivers identified as Gh Nabi Sheikh son of Gh Ahmad Sheikh resident of Gutlipora, Gh Mohammad Rather son of Ab Ahad Rather resident of Shrai and Aqib Nazir Tantray son of Nazir Ahmad Tantray resident of Darpora, a police spokesman said in a statement.
They were found involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals and accordingly cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in PS Tangmarg & PS Baramulla and investigations have been initiated, police said. (KNO)
