Kupwara, Jul 2: Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday said to have recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition during a search operation in Kupwara district.
A top police official said that based on a specific input, a joint search operation comprising Police, Army and BSF was launched at the general area of Nangari Forest, Dardpora Kralpora in Kupwara.
The operation yielded recovery of heavy quantity of war-like stores, officials said.
The recovered arms and ammunition include 8 AK Magazines, 445 live AK rounds, 1 Pistol, 3 Pistol magazines, 13 live Pistol rounds and one hand grenade.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard while further investigations has been set into the motion. (KNO)
