DC Shopian inspects health care facilities at Community Health Centre Zainapora

Shopian, Oct 14: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar Monday inspected the quality of medical services, attendance of staff and patient care in Government Community Health Centre (CHC), Zainapora, Shopian during his visit to the sub division.
The DC inspected the General ward, OPD, Surgical Ward, Gynae Ward and other sections of the CHC and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients.
He interacted with the patients, attendants and enquired about the treatment being provided to them in the hospital.
Block Medical Officer, Zainapora, apprised the DC about the staff position, their attendance and overall functioning of the health centre.
The DC also interacted with the patients to understand their healthcare needs and listened to their feedback on issues.
He directed the BMO to take necessary measures to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
The DC’s visit was aimed to assess the functioning of the CHC in the area and identify the gaps that need to be filled to improve the delivery of essential services to the local community.
Earlier, DC visited and inspected under-construction Government Degree College Zainapora Shopian coming up at an estimated cost of 1884.90 lacs, executed by R&B Zainapora and directed the concerned executing agency to speed up their developmental activities to ensure early completion of the Degree College.
The DC also directed for completing the ground floor of the said Degree College within stipulated time frame. He stressed for completing it by the end of November, 2024 so that Degree College functioning at present in Zainapora may be shifted here to facilitate the students of Zainapora.
ADC, ACR, SDM and other concerned were present.
