Bandipora, Oct 22: A 42-year-old man died after a timber log fell from a truck in the forest area of Qudara in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday afternoon.
An official said that the incident occurred when a timber truck was being loaded in Qudara village.
A timber log accidentally fell from the vehicle and struck the man, leading to his on the spot death, he said.
The man was identified as Shabir Ahmad, a resident of Gabpathri Dardpora.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to a nearby hospital for the completion of medical formalities. (KNO)
