Srinagar, Nov 16: Union Minister of state for Science and Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh on Saturday said that Jammu and Kashmir has given the country the purple revolution, a remarkable achievement in lavender cultivation.
Speaking at an event, Dr Singh, pointed out that the rise of lavender farming in Jammu & Kashmir has provided new avenues for youth employment.
He said that lavender startups are becoming an important economic driver, offering a green, eco-friendly business model for the youth in the Union Territory.
He also emphasised that the government’s role on innovation and local entrepreneurship that is shaping a brighter future for Jammu & Kashmir youth.
