New Delhi, Dec 3: The Minister of Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, informed the Lok Sabha that several projects sanctioned under the Swadesh Darshan Tourism scheme between 2016 and 2017 have been completed, with a total investment of Rs 519.58 crore in J&K and Ladakh.
The Minister in a reply has mentioned that the completed projects include the development of the Jammu-Srinagar-Pahalgam-Bhagwati Nagar-Anantnag-Salamabad Uri-Kargil-Leh route at a cost of Rs 77.33 crore, Development of tourist facilities at Jammu-Rajouri-Shopian-Pulwama at a cost of Rs 81.60 crore, Development of tourist facilities and construction of assets in lieu of those destroyed in the 2014 floods under the PM Development Package at a cost of Rs 90.43 crore, Development of tourist facilities at Mantalai and Sudhmahadev at a cost of Rs 91.99 crores, Development of tourist facilities at Anantnag-Pulwama-Kishtwar-Pahalgam-Zanskar Padum-Daksum-Ranjit Sagar Dam at a cost of Rs 86.39 crore and Development of tourist facilities at Gulmarg-Baramulla-Kupwara-Kargil-Leh at a cost of Rs 91.84 crore.
