Jammu, Jan 12: BJYM (BJP Yuva Morcha), J&K led by its President Arun Prabhat celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti by paying floral tributes to the youth icon, on National Youth Day at various places across Jammu & Kashmir.
Sat Sharma, President of BJP Jammu Kashmir, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization), J&K BJP, Kavinder Gupta, former Dy CM, Yudhvir Sethi, MLA, Priya Sethi, BJP NEM & Headquarters Incharge, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Incharge, J&K BJP, senior leader Vinay Gupta and others leaders of party, hundreds of BJYM activists and prominent people participated in the events.
The main programmes in this regard were held at BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu and Gumat Chowk, Jammu. The events witnessed a large gathering of enthusiastic youth and leaders, all united in honoring the legacy of Swami Vivekananda and his contributions to the empowerment of young minds across India.
While paying floral tributes, Sat Sharma emphasized the importance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings in shaping the character of the youth. He highlighted that the ideals of strength, courage, and selfless service continue to guide the youth in their pursuit of a brighter future for the nation. “Swami Vivekananda’s life is a shining example of how youth can be the driving force of nation-building,” Sharma stated.
Ashok Koul, in his tributes to the great youth idol, said that Swami Vivekananda, in his short life span, with his spirituality, wisdom and personality, inspired and infused the youth of the country with a sense of self-respect and a sense of destiny for Bharat as the world leader.
Kavinder Gupta said that despite facing criticism before the ‘Dharma Sansad’, Swami Vivekananda mesmerized all the dignitaries with his 5 magical words and won the world.
Arun Prabhat, President of BJYM Jammu Kashmir reiterated the relevance of Vivekananda’s vision in today’s world. He expressed his gratitude to all those who joined in paying tribute to one of India’s greatest spiritual leaders.
The events featured a series of speeches, cultural performances, and discussions, engaging the youth of Jammu in a dialogue about the significance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings and how they can be applied to build a stronger and more progressive society.
This celebration of National Youth Day was not just an occasion to remember the great Swami, but a call to action for the youth to take on leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to the country’s development.
The BJYM Jammu Kashmir looks forward to continuing its efforts to inspire, educate, and engage the youth of the region in the pursuit of progress, guided by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
