Kupwara, May 31: Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, on Saturday said that the Jammu and Kashmir government is fully committed to bringing the tourism sector back on track.
He expressed confidence that tourism in the region will recover soon..
Speaking to the media after a review meeting in Kupwara, Wani said that the government is actively working to rebuild the confidence of tourists.
He said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is personally spearheading the revival efforts, including visits to key tourist destinations and consistent engagement with stakeholders to restore trust in the Valley’s tourism potential.
“We are optimistic. The confidence-building measures are already showing results. The tourism sector will be back on track soon,” Wani stated.
He further informed that the meeting in Kupwara also focused on comprehensive reviews of the Health, Education, Roads, and Sports sectors. “We are determined to bring tangible development across these vital areas. People will see the difference on the ground,” he added.
