Srinagar Jun 1: Aimed at enhancing both aesthetics and passenger experience Srinagar Airport is getting a major makeover to improve its look and make travel more enjoyable by displaying rich culture and beauty of Kashmir.
In a post on X, airport officials said, “Srinagar Airport is being redesigned to show the soul of Kashmir. We want to combine modern facilities with the region’s culture, giving travelers a special experience from the moment they arrive.”
The new design will include traditional Kashmiri features like wood carvings, papier-mâché art, local handicrafts, and beautiful pictures of the Valley, an official said.
He also said that there will also be special areas for local artists, cultural displays, and a food court serving Kashmiri dishes.
This upgrade will not only make the airport better for passengers but also act as a cultural gateway for the many tourists and pilgrims who visit every year, he added. (KNS)
