Stay vigilant ahead of Amaranth Yatra: ADGP Armed to officers

Srinagar, Jun 1: ADGP Armed J&K, Anand Jain Sunday visited Armed Police Complex Manasbal in District Ganderbal to review the functioning of JKAP 14th and IRP 8th Battalions.
He was accompanied by accompanied by Shahid Mehraj, DIG, Armed Kashmir and Junaid Mehmood, Dy. Inspector General IRP Kashmir.
The ADGP during the visit, conducted a detailed inspection of infrastructure, including administrative blocks, barracks, mess, MT fleet, stores of both the units located at the Armed Police Complex.
Upon his arrival, the ADGP was accorded a warm welcome with a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by the contingents of both the units.
A special Darbar was also held on the occasion, during which the personnel raised service-related issues, and on-the-spot directions were given for redressal.
Emphasizing hygiene, the ADGP directed regular cleanliness drives and medical check-ups for all personnel.
During the visit Jain inaugurated Dining Hall at Hqrs. JKAP 14th Bn, besides participating in the plantation drive during which saplings of Cypress trees were planted.
He urged officers to stay vigilant ahead of the forthcoming Shri Amaranth Ji Yatra-2025 and stressed adopting the e-Office system to enhance efficiency and reduce paper usage.
Prominent officers present on the occasion included, Sanjay Kumar Bhagat, SSP commandant JKAP 14th Bn. Raj Kumar, SSP, Commandant IRP 8th Bn. Munir Ahmed SSP APCR Kashmir and others.
