Katra, Jun 10: “The better days for Jammu and Kashmir are coming soon as the number of tourists will increase soon,” Cabinet minister Satish Sharma said on Tuesday.
Talking to the reporters, Sharma, said the Vande Bharat train was the long-pending demand of the people.
“I believe it will have a good impact on the people here. It is the services at doorsteps,” he said while reacting to the arrival of direct train services to Kashmir.
The minister added that the number of devotees visiting Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine is increasing, with the train remaining overloaded for the last couple of days. “The people will prefer to visit here again. This development will not stop; the enemies will not succeed, as the people here always welcome the tourists with open arms,” he said, adding, “The figures will be revealed shortly and you will see how many people visited here again.”
Sharma, who holds many portfolios, said the Vande Bharat train will prove beneficial for patients, traders and tourists alike. “We have visited multiple places so far, including Pahalgam and other places. Similarly, Dr Farooq Abdullah wanted to visit the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine to pray for the peace and betterment of the country,” he said.
The minister said this visit will lead to a rise in the tourist footfall. “The people will prefer this route to visit here as the better days are waiting for us,” he added.
