Srinagar, Jun 10: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Tuesday asked party office bearers and key functionaries to intensify efforts in preparation for the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and Panchayat elections.
According to a statement, Sagar urged the party workers to stay connected to the public, reinforcing their role as a vital bridge between the people, the administration, and the leadership. “You are the eyes, ears, and voice of the party on the ground. It is imperative that we stay engaged with the pulse of the people,” Sagar emphasized.
Highlighting the urgency of organizational preparedness, he instructed the party workers to immediately shift into campaign mode. “These elections are more than just contests; they are opportunities to reaffirm our commitment to public service and democratic values,” he said.
Prominent leaders present at the meeting included Provincial President Showkat Mir, Provincial Secretary Syed Tawqeer Ahmad, District President Peer Afaq Ahmad, JZ Azad, among others. The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge to bolster the party structure at all levels and mobilize public support in the lead-up to the polls.
