Mool Raj

The life journey is filled with both challenges and triumphs, and cultivating inner strength is essential for navigating it effectively. It’s about developing the internal resources to face difficulties, learn from setbacks, and continue moving forward. Reflecting on my life’s journey, marked by both triumphs and tribulations, I realize how each moment has shaped me into who I am today.
Born on a Sunday in the village of Bhagora, my life has truly been a testament to the saying, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” From the fond memories of my childhood to the challenges I’ve faced, every experience has contributed to my growth.
I spent my early years in Bhagora Village, District and Tehsil Doda, in a house built by my parents. This house symbolizes their love and dedication to our family, grounding us in our heritage and values. As a shy and average student, I never excelled in sports or extracurricular activities, but my family’s unwavering support and guidance have been my strength.
My educational journey began at Govt Middle School Panjsoo Doda, and later, I moved to High School, where I completed my 10th standard. I then attended Government Higher Secondary School Doda Boys, and subsequently, the prestigious Govt Degree College, Bhaderwah. During a challenging phase of my life, I lost my beloved mother, Nanti Devi. Despite this irreparable loss, I completed my postgraduate studies at the University of Jammu in Environmental Science.
During my studies, I also lost my beloved mother. Recognizing my grief, the Head of Urdu Department and Controller of Examinations at the University of Jammu, Prof. (Dr.) Zahoor ul Din, extended my second semester exam date sheet by one month. In August 1999, I began my career as a teacher, making my humble entry into government service. This role provided me with a platform to impart knowledge and inspire young minds—an opportunity I have always cherished. In 2004, I got married and am blessed with three wonderful children: Mohit Kumar, Manvi Devi, and Arudh Kumar. They are my world, and their love gives me the strength to face life’s challenges.
Despite my professional achievements, my life has also been marred by betrayal—by my only friend, who has waged a one-sided war against me without any apparent reason. This betrayal is a painful reminder of harsh realities. The scars linger, but I refuse to let them define me. I still seek answers and justice, but I hold on to hope and faith that the truth will prevail and my heart will heal.
Today, I reflect on my struggles, the lessons learned, and the strength gained. My children are my greatest joy, and writing is my passion and solace. I promise to rise above the pain, find strength in my struggles, and never lose faith in the goodness of life. I will continue to cherish my family’s love, embrace my passions, and stand tall against adversity.
My story is a testament to the power of resilience—a reminder that no matter what life throws our way, we have the strength to overcome, to rise above, and to emerge stronger and wiser. One thing I will never compromise on is falsehood and lying. I detest them and have developed an equal hatred for liars. I don’t believe in cheating, breaching someone’s trust, backbiting, or backstabbing. I have full faith in God and believe that His decisions are always for my benefit.
As I look ahead, I promise to uphold the values that define me. I will continue to seek the truth, embrace the love and support of my family, and nurture my passions. I am determined to rise above past betrayals, find strength in my journey, and never lose faith in the inherent goodness of life.
My childhood memories are filled with images of playing in the fields, climbing trees, and listening to my grandparents’ stories. Their tales of wisdom and perseverance have been a guiding light throughout my life. Growing up in Bhagora, a village surrounded by natural beauty—especially the Doli Mandir—where I, with my beloved mother Smt. Nanti Devi, grazed cattle, I developed a deep connection with nature. This connection later influenced my decision to study Environmental Science, as I wanted to contribute to preserving the environment that nurtured me.
During my school years, I often struggled with self-confidence and doubt. I was both the brightest student and a cricket player. Coming from a very poor family, my family’s encouragement kept me going—especially my parents, who believed in my potential even when I did not. This belief was crucial to my academic and personal growth. My journey through various educational institutions was marked by hard work and determination; each milestone was a testament to my perseverance.
The loss of my mother, Smt. Nanti Devi, was a turning point in my life. She encouraged me to pursue my studies despite hardships and difficulties. Her absence left a void that could never be filled. However, her memory and the values she instilled in me continue to be a source of strength. Her teachings about honesty and resilience continue to guide me. Completing my postgraduate studies despite personal turmoil was a tribute to her unwavering support and love.
My career as a teacher has been fulfilling and rewarding. The opportunity to shape young minds and contribute to their development is a responsibility I cherish. Every student I teach reflects my commitment to education and my desire to make a positive impact on society. Teaching is not just a job for me; it is a calling that I approach with passion and dedication.
Marriage and fatherhood have added new dimensions to my life. My wife and children are my pillars of strength. Their love and support have been constant sources of encouragement. Watching my children grow and achieve their milestones fills me with immense pride. Their laughter, innocence, and dreams remind me of the beauty of life; they motivate me to keep pushing forward.
The betrayal by my only friend was a harsh lesson in trust and resilience. It taught me the importance of self-reliance and the need to guard my heart against deceit. While the pain of this betrayal lingers, it has also strengthened my resolve to remain true to my values. I have learned to find solace in my family’s love and my passion for writing. Writing allows me to express my thoughts and emotions—an outlet for my creativity and a way to navigate life’s complexities.
Faith in God has been my anchor through all storms. I believe that every challenge I face is a testament to my strength and character. My faith gives me the courage to face adversity with grace and the conviction that everything happens for a reason. This belief helps me stay grounded and focused on my goals, despite setbacks. Lastly, I would like to remember my beloved mother, Smt. Nanti Devi: “Days turn into months and months into years. I remember my beloved mother with silent tears.”
