Shopian, Jun 19: Department of Information and Public Relations Shopian, in collaboration with the Education department Thursday organised an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign at Government Higher Secondary School Keller, Shopian under the banner of UT-wide Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, school staff and officials from the education and other departments.
On the occasion, artists conveyed powerful messages about the devastating effects of substance abuse, resonating with the audience in a culturally relatable manner. Expert sessions led by resource persons from education and health delved into the root causes of addiction, including depression, curiosity, peer pressure, etc.

Students participated with great enthusiasm, vowing to raise awareness among their classmates. “The performances were impactful, presenting a clear picture of how devastating drugs can be and why it is important to avoid them,” shared one of the students.
