Srinagar, Nov 15: Police in Baramulla on Monday claimed to have busted a fake SIM card racket and arrested three persons involved in the commission of crime. “Incriminating materials including mobile phones, sim cards, electronic gadgets and documents recovered from their possession,” police said.
A police spokesman in a statement said that acting on specific information, police in Baramulla have busted a fake SIM card racket involved in issuing SIM cards against managed forged documents.
Three persons identified as Owais Farooq Waza, son of Farooq Ahmad Waza of Mohalla Jamia Baramulla, Suhail Aziz Mir, son of Ab Aziz of Suhail Colony Baramulla and Javid Ahmad Kanjwal, son of Ab Ahad of Jalal Sahib Baramulla have been found involved in the commission of crime.
They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody.
Incriminating materials including mobile phones along with SIM cards, electronic gadgets and documents have been recovered from their possession, police said, adding that a case under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Baramulla and further investigation is going on.
