Coronavirus: Active cases increase from 886 to 1513 in 17 days

Srinagar, Nov 18: The active cases have once again started to increase in Jammu and Kashmir especially in the Kashmir division as positive cases have increased from 886 to 1513 in the first 17 days of November month.
As per the official data available, the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir were 886 including 783 from Kashmir division and 108 from Jammu division till October 31 this year.
However, in the last 17 days the active cases have increased from 886 to 1,513 in J&K which includes 1,269 in Kashmir division and 244 in Jammu division.
As per the data, active cases have increased in Kashmir from 783 to 1,269 while in Jammu division the cases have decreased from 108 to 244 in the same period.
Kashmir division has around six times more active cases than the active cases in Jammu division.
In Jammu division, Jammu district has highest 102 active cases while in Kashmir, Srinagar has highest 584 active cases till 17 November.
In the same period, the recovery rate in J&K has decreased from 98.40 percent to 98.20 percent.
Data also reveals that in the ongoing month 2,446 cases including 2,094 from Kashmir and 352 from Jammu besides those 25 deaths including 20 from Kashmir and five from Jammu were reported in the last 17 days.
So far in the ongoing month Kashmir has reported five times more cases and deaths than Jammu.
