Srinagar, Nov 19: A shutdown was observed across Kashmir on Friday against the civilian killings in the Hyderpora encounter.
Witnesses said that the shutdown affected normal life across the region. In Srinagar, the summer capital of J&K, all shops, business establishments and private institutions remained shut for the day. A very thin movement of traffic was seen on roads.
Reports pouring in from various districts suggested that the shutdown was observed in all Kashmir districts. Call for shutdown was given by Mirwiaz Umar Farooq led Hurriyat Conference and Bar Association. (KNO)
