Srinagar, Dec 4: Jammu and Kashmir Saturday reported 202 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,731 while no death was reported in last 24 hours.
With no more deaths, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,479 and 202 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 337,646.
Of the exact number of 337,646 cases, 212,301 are from Kashmir division and 125,345 from Jammu division. Officials said that among 202 new cases, 114 belong to Kashmir division while as 88 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 212,301 including 208,731 recoveries and 2,294 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 125,345 including 122,705 recoveries and 2,185 deaths
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,731 including 1,276 from Kashmir division and 455 from Jammu division.
With 202 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 331,436 which is 98.16 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 49 from Srinagar, 18 from Baramulla, 12 from Budgam, 06 from Pulwama, 06 from Kupwara, 03 from Anantnag, 11 from Bandipora, 09 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 88 from Jammu division include 15 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 04 from Rajouri, 06 from Doda, 01 from Kathua, 01 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 61 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Saturday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 49.
As per officials figures, 77,523 positive cases including 868 deaths and 76,076 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,547 including 288 deaths and 24,960 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,235 including 23,928 recoveries and 211 deaths are from Budgam, 15,612 including 15,387 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,771 including 167 deaths and 14,537 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,687 including 16,457 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Anantnag, 10,030 cases including 9,851 and 105 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,762 including 10,594 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,520 including 11,388 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,614 including 5,553 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,713 including 52,415 recoveries and 1,151 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,443 including 11,301 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,337 including 11,080 recoveries and 238 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,947 including 7,782 recoveries and 133 deaths are from Doda, 9,354 including 9,197 recoveries and 152 deaths are from Kathua, 7,165 including 7,042 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,835 including 4,784 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,530 including 6,420 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,057 including 5,990 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,964 including 6,695 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 4,593,784 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 6,476 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,731 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 4,151,674 persons have completed the surveillance period and 429,424 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 17,847,900 samples are available. Out of 17,847,900 the number of samples tested negative stands at 17,510,254 while as 337,646 have tested positive, among them 1,731persons are active, 331,436 persons have recovered and 4,479 persons have died.
