Coronavirus: JK reports one death, 182 new cases

Srinagar, Dec 11: Jammu and Kashmir Saturday reported one death and 182 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,595.
With one more death, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,491 and 182 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 338,745.
Of the exact number of 338,745 cases, 213,152 are from Kashmir division and 125,593 from Jammu division. Officials said that among 182 new cases, 149 belong to Kashmir division while as 33 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 213,152 including 209,673 recoveries and 2,302 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 125,593 including 122,986 recoveries and 2,189 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,595 including 1,177 from Kashmir division and 418 from Jammu division. With 204 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 332,659 which is 98.20 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 66 from Srinagar, 20 from Baramulla,16 from Budgam, 05 from Pulwama, 26 from Kupwara, 01 from Anantnag, 08 from Bandipora, 06 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 33 from Jammu division include 13 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 03 from Rajouri, 06 from Doda, 01 from Kathua, 01 from Samba, 02 from Kishtwar, 04 from Poonch, 02 from Ramban and 01 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Saturday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 49.
As per officials figures, 77,894 positive cases including 871 deaths and 76,483 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,677 including 289 deaths and 25,162 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,344 including 24,025 recoveries and 212 deaths are from Budgam, 15,650 including 15,407 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,839 including 167 deaths and 14,602 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,698 including 16,473 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Anantnag, 10,082 cases including 9,912 and 106 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,827 including 10,653 recoveries and 80 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,527 including 11,401 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,614 including 5,555 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,838 including 52,502 recoveries and 1,153 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,450 including 11,306 recoveries and 138 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,351 including 11,094 recoveries and 238 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,980 including 7,802 recoveries and 134 deaths are from Doda, 9,369 including 9,201 recoveries and 152 deaths are from Kathua, 7,172 including 7,044 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,840 including 4,791 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,558 including 6,427 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,059 including 5,990 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,976 including 6,829 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 4,771,350 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 6,656 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,595 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 4,329,892 persons have completed the surveillance period and 428,716 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 18,220,012 samples are available. Out of 18,220,012 the number of samples tested negative stands at 17,881,267 while as 338,745 have tested positive, among them 1,595 persons are active, 332,659 persons have recovered and 4,491 persons have died.
