Surankote, Dec 16: Apni Party President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari has pitched for equal development of all the regions of Jammu and Kashmir without any prejudices so that development reaches every doorstep in the hilly districts.
Bukhari was addressing a worker’s meeting at Surankote, Poonch District which was organized by Additional Spokesperson, Advocate Yasir Khan.
Addressing party leaders and workers, Bukhari congratulated them for strengthening the party at the grass root level and making the people aware about the policies of Apni Party.
“It is because of the workers at the ground level, the Party has gained support from the people in Pir Panjal Region in such a short period of time since its foundation,” he said while hailing the leaders and workers.
He said that Apni Party is aimed at improving the living standard of the people and reach out to every house for equitable development of hilly districts in all regions of Jammu and Kashmir without any discrimination.
“Apni Party believes in unity and equal development. We will not discriminate with the people. Our motive is to give a good future to the people of J&K who have been deprived of their constitutional rights. If the basic amenities still lack in Cities, and Towns, what would the condition of people in villages, and remote places. If we come to power, we will work for all over development and there will be no discrimination with any section of the society or of any region” he said.
Referring to the suffering of Pir Panjal which remains cut off from Kashmir valley for six months due to the closing of Mughal road; he assured that their priority will be to make the important Mughal road which is the only shortest link with Pir Panjal by keeping it functional for whole year.
“The Mughal road will remain functional for vehicular traffic for 12 months and we will work on it on priority basis,” he said.
He further said that “The Mughal road requires construction of a tunnel, and within the first three months after forming the Govt in J&K, we will start work in this regard.”
He expressed his serious concern over the poor health care facilities in Govt hospitals and insisted on the upgradiation of the infrastructure, deployment of specialized doctors.
“These hospitals including District Hospital Poonch and Sub District Hospitals have become referral hospitals. We believe they should be able to provide emergency treatment to the critical patients in these hospitals. When they refer the patients to Govt Medical College Jammu or in Srinagar, it consumes important time and lives are lost in this process due to negligence. Therefore, we will fix responsibility and improve the health infrastructure in all the districts especially Pir Panjal which has become a victim of the poor facilities whether road, health or schools,” he said.
He also impressed upon the improvement in education system in the Govt schools so that we may be able to make our children compete at the national level.
“This would be possible only by providing quality education to the students at the primary, high and higher school level. The students need proper guidance which gives them direction towards the achievement of their desired goals. Our Govt will work in this direction to make the students competent by providing quality education in Govt schools. There is also a need to upgrade the infrastructure in Govt schools and import training to the teachings keeping in view psychology of the child. A scientific approach is necessary to improve the education system in J&K,” he added.
He further said that if his Party’s Govt comes, they will work for the restoration of age relaxation in UPSC for the aspirants of J&K.
“The youth who apply for different posts in UPSC were given age relaxation, but it was withdrawn which is unfair with the youth who need support and encouragement and our Party will work for its restoration,” he said.
He said that his Party is committed to launch special recruitment drives for the border youth in security forces, recruitment on all vacant posts in Govt department on fast track basis, regularization of 61000 daily wagers who are working in different Govt departments, and pension benefits to all economically weaker sections in J&K under Social Welfare up to Rs 5000.
