Srinagar, Dec 18: The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole Saturday chaired a meeting to review the progress of Semi Ring Road, Srinagar, besides NOC clearance for mining, land acquisition for road, tree cutting, clay extraction and other issues.
The meeting was attended by DC Budgam; ADC, Srinagar; ADC, Baramulla; ADC, Pulwama; Director, Geology and Mining, Kashmir; Project Director, NHAI, Srinagar; JD, Geology and Mining, Kashmir; Collector Defense, Budgam; District Mining Officer, Srinagar, Baramulla, Budgam and Pulwama; Chief Project Manager, NKC Ltd and other officers.
On the Occasion, Div Com directed officers to speed up the clearance of NOCs for mining, processing of documents of tree cutting, identification of soil extraction Land, acquisition of land for Semi Ring Road and handing over it to company and address objections of land owners, if any, in a week’s time.
He directed DC’s to identify hundred Kanals of land in each district for soil extraction. Besides, he directed them that each halqa patwari should prepare a list of land which could be available for soil extraction.
The meeting was informed that a bulk of 110 Lakh metric ton soil is required of which only 5 lakh metric ton soil has been made available, so for.
He said that in view of volume of work, pendency needs to be cleared and permissions should be granted within stipulated time.
He also enjoined DC’s to appoint nodal officers who would guide concerned officers of NHAI for processing documents for tree cutting.
Div Com directed DC Budgam to address the issue of municipality entry passes for vehicles carrying material for Semi Ring Road as the contractor has projected that instead of paying entry fee every time on the entry of vehicles they would pay in lump sum or installments.
