The government has finally come to the rescue of educated but unemployed youth across Jammu and Kashmir by coming up with new employment avenues for them in different sectors especially in Banking & Financial Services sector.
The avenues have ended the miseries of the youth while many after getting the financial support have become the idol for many in the field of entrepreneurship.
A series of measures have been taken by the Jammu and Kashmir government for the wellbeing of the youth here.
The government in recent conducted a programme titled—Back to Village (B2V) and My Town My Pride (MTMP) programmes and investors. During the programme, it identified the deserving youth and helped them with financial support to become the entrepreneurs.
As per the data, in less than a year, the government has achieved a milestone by helping nearly 20,000 youth with Rs 264 Crore investment to help them become entrepreneurs. Moreover, the Jammu and Kashmir Bank here was also given Rs 250 Crore as second instalment of five per cent interest subvention under the economic package, as a relief for the business sector in J&K.

In a bid to help the distressed youth of Jammu and Kashmir, the government here has come up with various welfare schemes and helped the youth to start from ground zero. Besides, it has helped the people who suffered losses during the last year’s lockdown period.
From street vendors to high class industrialists, the government has ensured financial assistance to each and every trader to help them in the distressed time and compensate the losses suffered by them.
Not only for the losses to the people, the government also extended financial support to the youth, who were jobless and had high dreams.
Asif Javaid, is one among the youth, who got the financial support to become an entrepreneur. He is the first from his family to become an entrepreneur, but has become the idol for many as he has involved a huge chunk of youth with him, helping them to earn their livelihood.
Asif is the son of Auto-rickshaw driver from Shopian, who like other youth was moving from pillar to post to seek a better job for earning livelihood.
Nonetheless, the financial support provided to him by the government has paved a way for him to think bigger and shine in the society and become the idol for a new generation. It is hard to become an entrepreneur, but providing financial support is something that is opening the doors for the youth to achieve the target.
Similarly, the doors leading to success remained closed for Asif for years together, but as soon as the government provided assistance to him, it became an easy task for him to reach the point, which he was aspiring for since his childhood.
Like him, hundreds of youth across Jammu and Kashmir have successfully achieved the target of their life with the support of the government’s aid.
Moreover, one cannot forget the financial support of the Army to the students here for their education. A huge chunk of youth is getting the financial aid from the Army here for pursuing education. It is not only helping the downtrodden section of the society for educational purposes only, but many patients including the handicapped got financial support from the Army and are now living a happy life.
Besides, the Government’s programme ‘Mission Youth’ launched with several aims and objectives, one of them being to win over hearts and minds of youth through affirmative action, has received major backing from the Government of India with Rs 200 crore worth support for the Mission for the next financial year while Rs 100 crore worth fund has been kept for the Mission.
