Jammu, Jan 18: A man has been arrested for kidnapping and raping a teenage girl in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, Senior Superintendent of Police Shailendra Singh said on Tuesday.
On December 28, a man alleged that his 14-year-old daughter who had gone to a shop to buy milk did not return home.
The police learnt that the kidnapper was Shakeel alias Sonu. The girl was traced in Poonch. The rapist gave the slip to the police but got arrested from Belicharana area in district Jammu.
The girl has been reunited with the family, said the officer.
