Srinagar, Feb 3: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday reported seven more deaths while 1,982 persons tested positive for Covid-19, pushing the number of active cases to 26,711 in the Union Territory.
With seven more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,699 and 1,982 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 442,462.
Of the exact number of 442,462 cases, 282,189 are from Kashmir division and 160,273 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 1,982 new cases, 1,288 belong to Kashmir division while as 694 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 282,189 including 260,760 recoveries and 2,400 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 160,273 including 150,292 recoveries and 2,299 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 26,711 including 19,029 from Kashmir division and 7,682 from Jammu division.
With 5,093 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 411,052 which is 92.90 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 413 from Srinagar, 253 from Baramulla, 116 from Budgam, 44 from Pulwama, 230 from Kupwara, 71 from Anantnag, 56 from Bandipora, 44 from Ganderbal, 47 from Kulgam and 14 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 694 from Jammu division include 310 from Jammu district, 74 from Udhampur, 26 from Rajouri, 76 from Doda, 62 from Kathua, 34 from Samba, 28 from Kishtwar, 21 from Poonch, 45 from Ramban and 18 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 100,369 positive cases including 903 deaths and 91,406 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,044 including 303 deaths and 33,091 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,185 including 32,536 recoveries and 228 deaths are from Budgam, 18,185 including 17,464 recoveries and 200 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,239 including 172 deaths and 20,264 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,071 including 19,723 recoveries and 218 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,397 cases including 12,637 and 114 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,401 including 12,925 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,019 including 14,699 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,223 including 5,899 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 73,654 including 68,404 recoveries and 1,213 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,370 including 13,838 recoveries and 145 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,647 including 12,185 recoveries and 246 deaths are from Rajouri, 10,113 including 8,904 recoveries and 142 deaths are from Doda, 11,075 including 10,561 recoveries and 162 deaths are from Kathua, 8,895 including 8,490 recoveries and 123 deaths are from Samba, 5,684 including 5,365 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,631 including 7,188 recoveries and 108 deaths are from Poonch, 7,673 including 7,060 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,531 including 8,307 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 5,828,729 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 29,593 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 26,711 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,336,599 persons have completed the surveillance period and 431,127 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 21,639,895 samples are available. Out of 21,639,895 the number of samples tested negative stands at 21,197,433 while as 442,462 have tested positive, among them 26,711 persons are active, 411,052 persons have recovered and 4,699 persons have died.
