3 deaths, 1429 new cases in JK

Srinagar, Feb 4: Jammu and Kashmir Fridayy reported three deaths and another spike of 1,429 cases pushing the number of active cases to 24,080 in the UT.
With three more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,702 and 1,429 fresh positive cases reported on Friday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 443,891.
Of the exact number of 443,891 cases, 283,011 are from Kashmir division and 160,880 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 1,429 new cases, 822 belong to Kashmir division while as 607 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 283,011 including 263,380 recoveries and 2,402 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 160,880 including 151,729 recoveries and 2,300 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 24,080 including 17,229 from Kashmir division and 6,851 from Jammu division.
With 4,057 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 415,109 which is 93.52 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 266 from Srinagar, 108 from Baramulla, 86 from Budgam, 34 from Pulwama, 55 from Kupwara, 64 from Anantnag, 47 from Bandipora, 45 from Ganderbal, 96 from Kulgam and 21 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 607 from Jammu division include 228 from Jammu district, 53 from Udhampur, 12 from Rajouri, 135 from Doda, 60 from Kathua, 04 from Samba, 47 from Kishtwar, 19 from Poonch, 26 from Ramban and 23 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 100,635 positive cases including 903 deaths and 92,368 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,152 including 303 deaths and 33,487 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,271 including 32,663 recoveries and 229 deaths are from Budgam, 18,219 including 17,554 recoveries and 200 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,294 including 172 deaths and 20,350 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,135 including 20,350 recoveries and 218 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,500 cases including 12,856 and 115 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,446 including 13,012 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,115 including 14,961 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,244 including 5,990 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 73,882 including 69,166 recoveries and 1,214 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,423 including 13,938 recoveries and 145 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,659 including 12,216 recoveries and 246 deaths are from Rajouri, 10,248 including 9,203 recoveries and 142 deaths are from Doda, 11,135 including 10,622 recoveries and 162 deaths are from Kathua, 8,899 including 8,534 recoveries and 123 deaths are from Samba, 5,731 including 5,380 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,650 including 7,244 recoveries and 108 deaths are from Poonch, 7,699 including 7,098 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,554 including 8,328 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 5,842,227 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 29,521 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 24,080 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,353,158 persons have completed the surveillance period and 430,766 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 21,713,815 samples are available. Out of 21,713,815 the number of samples tested negative stands at 21,269,924 while as 443,891 have tested positive, among them 24,080 persons are active, 415,109 persons have recovered and 4,702 persons have died.
