Srinagar, Feb 9: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported four deaths and another spike of 681 cases pushing the number of active cases to 10,230 in the UT.
With four more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,732 and 681 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 448,786.
Of the exact number of 448,786 cases, 285,429 are from Kashmir division and 163,357 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 681 new cases, 322 belong to Kashmir division while as 359 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 285,429 including 276,430 recoveries and 2,416 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 163,357 including 157,394 recoveries and 2,316 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 10,230 including 6,583 from Kashmir division and 4,647 from Jammu division.
With 2,805 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 433,824 which is 96.67 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 139 from Srinagar, 39 from Baramulla, 39 from Budgam, 10 from Pulwama, 30 from Kupwara, 16 from Anantnag, 10 from Bandipora, 20 from Ganderbal, 11 from Kulgam and 08 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 359 from Jammu division include 184 from Jammu district, 15 from Udhampur, 12 from Rajouri, 80 from Doda, 36 from Kathua, 08 from Samba, 05 from Kishtwar, 09 from Poonch, 09 from Ramban and 01 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 101,474 positive cases including 905 deaths and 97,763 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,421 including 304 deaths and 35,954 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,614 including 33,952 recoveries and 235 deaths are from Budgam, 18,355 including 17,946 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,502 including 173 deaths and 20,869 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,354 including 21,582 recoveries and 218 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,566 cases including 13,221 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,566 including 13,221 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,256 including 15,874 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,287 including 6,064 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 74,916 including 72,132 recoveries and 1,219 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,592 including 14,359 recoveries and 146 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,729 including 12,397 recoveries and 248 deaths are from Rajouri, 10,843 including 9,789 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,255 including 10,856 recoveries and 164 deaths are from Kathua, 9,035 including 8,735 recoveries and 124 deaths are from Samba, 5,795 including 5,639 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,691 including 7,437 recoveries and 109 deaths are from Poonch, 7,871 including 7,582 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,630 including 8,468 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 5,911,186 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 29,361 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 10,230 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,428,725 persons have completed the surveillance period and 437,138 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 22,060,786 samples are available. Out of 22,060,786 the number of samples tested negative stands at 21,612,000 while as 448,786 have tested positive, among them 10,230 persons are active, 433,824 persons have recovered and 4,732 persons have died.
