Bridge turns into parking slot

The bridge is being considered as pivotal means when it comes to cross the rivers, streams and other water bodies, but interestingly, Srinagar’s Habba Kadal locality has a bridge, which has been turned into a parking lot, thus leaving the local populace especially the commuters to lurch at large. To pass through the bridge is always a hectic task for the commuters as the people especially the traders around are parking their vehicles illegally there, thus blocking the bridge completely, leaving no way for the commuters. The situation at the bridge was always ignored by the concerned authorities; therefore, the sufferings of people have gone unheard for a long time now. On either side of the bridge, the people park their vehicles and leave less space for the vehicles to pass through. One fails to understand why the concerned have not taken any action in this regard so far. There are people who question the delay in action against the traffic norm violators. Therefore, the concerned should look into the matter at an earliest and ensure the norm violators are dealt with strictly. Besides, the concerned should also depute some men in the locality to streamline the traffic as the area witness’s frequent gridlock and leave the commuters to lurch at large. All the necessary steps must be taken at an earliest to help the commuters in coming out from the current mess, being witnessed on a regular basis and ensuring their smooth passage.
