AICC observers review membership drive

Srinagar, Feb 22: All India Congress Committee (AICC) Observers (Pradesh Returning Officer) alongwith APROs Tuesday reviewed the ongoing Membership Drive of Party in Kashmir at Srinagar Party Office.
According to a statement, AICC observers (PRO) Ranjit Ranjan (Ex.MP) Amee Yajnik (MP) and senior Congress leader Khushwant Brar held day long interaction with Senior functionaries of the party including PCC Office bearers, District Presidents, Former Legislators, Frontal Heads and other prominent leaders and took stock of the ongoing membership drive of the Party in all the districts of Kashmir.
The cadres briefed the Observers about the distribution of Membership in their segments. They also apprised them JKPCC under the leadership of President Ghulam Ahmad Mir is vigorously working over enrollment of primary members at large scale in Kashmir as well as in Jammu.
They also briefed the Observers that Party is working towards ensuring enrolment of members form ST, SC, OBC and other underprivileged classes across J&K to ensure that they too get the appropriate representation in the Party for which Congress Party is fully committed.
PRO asked the impressive gathering of party leaders and workers to further strengthen the polling booths across J&K. She also apprised the cadres about the procedure of the membership urging them to adhere to norms, as the Membership shall be followed by election of delegates from booth to AICC Level, who shall elect the Presidents at respective levels.
The observers appreciated the party cadres for their commitment and dedication towards the party despite facing ugliest situation.
