DDC Chairperson Ganderbal chairs Council meeting

Ganderbal, Mar 19: District development council meeting was held here today under the chairmanship of its chairperson Nuzhat Ishfaq.
At the outset, DDC Chairperson apprised the Council about the guidelines for the formulation of the plans under the District Capex budget 2022-23.
After thorough discussions, DDC Plan 2022-23 was successfully consolidated from all DDC Members.
Addressing the meeting, the Chairperson said the DDC members to utilize the DDC grant judiciously in high priority sectors in coordination with the line departments.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairperson informed that a special thrust has been laid on formulation of viable District Employment plan, District Drinking Water plan, District Sports activity plan District Health plan and District Road Development plans as per the guidelines issued by the Finance Department and maintaining the sanctity of the 3-tier system of Panchayati Raj.
Meanwhile, the DDC Chairperson complemented all the DDC members for their cooperation to ensure formulation of plan timely.
She further asked the DDC members to personally supervise and monitor the pace and quality of the works to be undertaken during the next financial year in their respective jurisdiction.
The meeting was attended by DDC Vice Chairperson, Bilal Ahmad, Additional District Development Commissioner, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, DDC Members, CPO, ACD and other concerned.
