Ganderbal, Mar 19: In order to have first hand appraisal of ongoing projects executed by JKPCC, Managing Director, R.K. Shavan today carried out field tour of Ganderbal district and inspected various ongoing projects there.
During the field tour, the MD inspected construction works at Guzahama Bridge, Naidkhai Bridge and GCET Safapora being executed at an estimated cost of Rs.2890.36 lacs, Rs.1530.00 lacs and Rs.2600.00 lacs respectively. The MD was informed by the officials about the progress of each project besides he was also apprised about the aspects of each project .
On the occasion, the MD directed the officials to identify bottlenecks if any which are hindering the pace of work and get those resolved at the earliest for the timely completion of these prestigious projects.
Similarly, the MD also inspected construction sites at Watalbagh-Bobsipora Bridge, District Hospital Ganderbal and Physical Education College, Gadoora.
While assessing the progress of works on these sites, the MD stressed upon the officers of executing agencies that quality of work and other building standards should be maintained while accomplishing these prestigious projects of public importance.
The MD, while on tour also interacted with Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna and discussed the issues pertaining to the ongoing projects of JKPCC Ltd. During the interaction, it was reiterated that extra care should be taken to ensure quality work.
