Srinagar, May 10: A minor girl died after she fell in a pool at Gulgam village of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said on Tuesday.
“After the incident, however, the girl was immediately retrieved from the pool and was rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately doctors there declared her dead,” the officials said. The deceased was identified as Hameera Gulzar daughter of Gulzar Ahmad Lone.
Meanwhile, a police official confirmed the death of the girl and said that the incident was an accident.
As the news spread in the area, a wave of grief and sorrow spread in the entire area and hundreds of people reached the house of the deceased girl to express their condolence.
