DC Baramulla presides over Mega Block Diwas at Pattan

Baramulla, Jun 1: Continuing the special Public Outreach programme across the district and in order to take first hand appraisal of the issues of general people at their door steps, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Wednesday visited Government Degree College Pattan where she chaired a day long Block Diwas Camp and listened various issues and demands of people meant for the overall welfare and development of the area.
The programme witnessed large participation of people from Pattan, Zangam, Khore besides other adjoining areas of Tehsil Pattan.
Among others, the Public Grievance Redressal Camp was attended by Joint Director Planning, Mohd Yousuf Rather, Sub Divisional Magistrate Pattan, Syed Faheem, Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla, Yaar Ali, Chief Education Officer Baramulla, G.M. Lone; Dy Director Fire and Emergency Services Ab Khaliq, District Information Officer Jahangeer Akhoon besides other district and sectoral officers of the district.
During the Grievance Redressal Camp, various Public delegations and scores of individuals projected various developmental issues before the DC and sought the timely resolution of their grievances and demands.
On the occasion, the people put forth several demands including macdamization and widening of link and main roads, upgradation of Education Institutions, creation of play fields in the area and establishment of power receiving stations at various places.
Upgradation of Community Health Centre to Sub District Hospital, establishment of Maternal and Child Health Center was also among the major demands of people.
After giving a patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, the DC assured that District Administration will provide active support for development of Sub Division Pattan and also assured them that all their issues and demands shall be taken with the concerned authorities for their timely redressal.
On the occasion, a facilitation counter was also installed during which several facilities including Ayushman Cards, making of golden and Election cards were made available for the general people for the convenience.
