Mandeep Kaur visits Baltal, takes stock of sanitation arrangements

Ganderbal, Jun 18: Commissioner Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Mandeep Kaur Saturday took an extensive tour of Baltal in order to have firsthand appraisal about the sanitation measures taken by the department for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2022.
During visit the Commissioner Secretary was accompanied by Director Rural Development Department Kashmir, Imam din, Director Rural sanitation, Charandeep Singh, Assistant Commissioner Development, Ganderbal, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Bhat ACP Ganderbal, Bilqees Wani, Superintending Engineer REW Kashmir, other officers and officials of RDD.
During her visit the Commissioner Secretary inspected the installation of toilet units at various halt stations including Baltal Base camp and along the Yatra track.
While inspecting the sanitation arrangements being put in place, the Commissioner Secretary was satisfied with the pace of progress and Stressed on completion of all pending sanitation arrangements on war footing basis.
Meanwhile the Commissioner Secretary conducted a review meeting at Base Camp Baltal with Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir and various agencies being involved in installation of sanitation facilities during the Yatra period.
