Srinagar, Jun 29: Inhabitants of B.K Pora Kanihama area in Nowgam here have expressed resentment against the administration for failing to macadamize the road connecting Kanipora to Kanihama.
The dilapidated roads and lanes ridden with potholes are not only causing inconvenience to commuters but the pedestrians, living in the vicinity as well.
The residents said that the road and the lanes in the area have been in shambles for the past several years and demanded immediate macadamization of these roads and interior lanes.
During the rainy season, the potholes get submerged and it becomes difficult for the people to come out of their homes, the locals said.
Meanwhile, District Development Council (DDC) member Saima Jan when contacted, said that the macadamization in the area is already in the current plan. “The process will be started soon,” she said.
