Srinagar, Jul 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department (HED) has said that Uniform Academic Calendar shall be followed from academic year 2022-23.
Besides, the department has also said that the calendar shall be prominently displayed on the college website.
The HED has said that in line with the vision of the NEP 2020, it has initiated a series of reforms for improving the quality of learning and teaching in all government institutions.
“All colleges to ensure NAAC accreditation in academic year 2022-23,” the department said.
“Uniform academic calendar finalized for UT of JK shall be followed in letter and spirit from academic year 2022-23. The Calendar shall be prominently displayed on the college website,” it reads.
About the capacity building and training, the department said, “Capacity building programs for faculty and supporting staff shall be carried out round the year. A minimum of two training programmes are compulsory for each faculty member in an academic year.”
Among the initiatives, the department spoke about the student feedback. “Anonymous but structured student feedback mechanism to be introduced by all colleges as per the format provided by HED. Student feedback shall be obtained twice every 45 days per semester.”
The department also said that the overall feedback of students will be shared with concerned faculty. “Student feedback will form an input for faculty appraisal also.”
Speaking about the collaborative growth, it also said that the colleges will enter into collaborations and sign MOUs with sister colleges in other states to ensure academic growth and skill enhancement.
