Budgam, May 20: Dilapidated condition of Dadaompora -Chadoora road in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district has left the commuters anguished, who have appealed the concerned department to fulfill their demands at an earliest.
The residents of the area said that these roads are in dilapidated conditions as the stretch has not been repaired since long.
“We took to the streets a number of times to press for our demands but all in vain as the concerned failed to take any step in this regard,” the locals said, adding that they also approached the concerned authorities several times in the past but, no steps were taken to redress their demands.
“Locals apprised R&B department about the bad condition of these roads but they did nothing,” they said.
The condition of other roads like Chadoora, Hafroo, Badipora in the district which according to locals have not been repaired for the decades now, is quite similar.
“The roads in these villages have turned into a lane on which a single vehicles hardly pass now.”
The locals later appealed the concerned authorities to take steps to macadamize the roads so that they could heave a sigh of relief.
