Ganderbal, Aug 20: A 23-year-old mentally unsound girl drowned to death in a power canal in her native village Gutlibagh area in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district late on Friday night.
An official said that that the girl (name withheld) drowned in a power Canal in her native village Gutlibagh.
He said that soon after hearing about the incident local police and SDRF team retrieved the body of girl from the power canal after hectic efforts late Friday evening.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started further investigation in this regard.
