Srinagar, Aug 31: A teenage girl and an auto driver were on Wednesday killed in separate road accidents that took place in northern districts of Kashmir.
In Pattan, an Army vehicle collided with an auto along the national highway, resulting in on spot death of auto driver, identified as Nisar Ahmad Bagat, son of Muhammad Maqbool Bagat (40) of Palhallan Pattan.
In Gurez, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK05G-2093 turned turtle at Neeru Tulail, resulting in injuries to four persons.
The injured persons were shifted to SDH Gurez, where a girl namely Insha Parveen, daughter of Mohammad Munnawar, a Class 10 student at Higher Secondary School Rajouri Kadal Srinagar, succumbed to her injuries, an official said.
Three persons after receiving treatment at SDH Gurez were referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment, the official said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of both road accidents. (KNO)
