Urs Hazrat Qamar-ud-Din Bukhari (RA) celebrated with religious fervor at Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Sep 8: After a span of 33 years, the four-day annual Urs of Hazrat Qamar-ud-Din Bukhari (RA) is being observed with much enthusiasm and religious fervor in Reshipora, Saloora are of Ganderbal.
The Urs commenced on 7th of September and today, day two witnessed participation of thousands of devotees.
To ensure successful observation of the Urs, the District Administration has put all arrangements in place besides the areas en-route wears a festive look as administration has decorated them with lights and paintings.
As part of the Urs, Culture show, Fun Fair Mela besides installation of over 30 stalls by various departments was also put in place which saw participation of thousands of people from all walks of life at Qamaria Stadium.
Main attraction of the day two was culture show which was witnessed by DDC Chairperson, Nuzhat Ishfaq, Vice-Chairperson, Bilal Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner, Shyambir, President Municipal Council, Hilal Ahmad Tantray, ADDC, ADC and CPO besides DDC Members, BDC Chairpersons, Councilors of Municipal Council Ganderbal, other PRI members and locals.
The cultural Show-Mefil-e- Samaa was organized as part of ongoing Urs of Syed Qamar-Ud-Din Bukhari (RA) by District Administration Ganderbal in collaboration with J&K Department of Tourism and Cultural Academy at Qamaria Stadium.
On the occasion, renowned Singers of Valley which include versatile Kashmiri Folk Singer Abdul Rashid Hafiz, Gulam Ahmed Sofi, Gulzar Ahmed Ganie, Abdul Gaffar Kanhami and Mohammad Abdulla Shaksaz sung mesmerizing Sufiyana songs which enthralled the audience.
