Police solve four burglary cases in Ganderbal, 8 held

Srinagar, Sep 10: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday claimed to have solved four burglary cases by arresting eight accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property worth lacs in Ganderbal.
“Earlier this month, Police Station Ganderbal received two written complaints regarding burglary at Govt. High School Kujjar Ganderbal and burglary in a residential house at Saloora Ganderbal. Two more complaints regarding theft of domestic animals from cowsheds at Tengpora village were lodged in PS Ganderbal,” a police spokesman said in a statement.
Accordingly, cases under FIR numbers 257/2022, 146/2022, 216/2022 and 240/2022 under relevant sections of law were registered in PS Ganderbal and investigation was set into the motion.
On receipt of these complaints, a special team led by SHO PS Ganderbal was constituted by SSP Ganderbal under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal.
The investigating team swiftly cracked all the four burglary cases and arrested 08 persons involved in these cases. They have been identified as Zahoor Ahmad Najar son of Gh Mohd resident of Fethapora Ganderbal, Asif Hussain Yatoo son of Gh Hassan resident of Sultanpora Baramulla, Muneer Ahmad Famda son of Ghulam Younis resident of Sarafraw Kangan, Mohd Shabir Magray son of Mohd Shafi resident of Sahardhaka Udhampur, Shakeel Ahmad Bijad son of Mohd Ishaq resident of Judiyal Rojouri, Rubul Mestry son of Shams ud Din resident of Gurgaon Haryana A/P Beehama Ganderbal, Safikul Islam son of Umer Ali & Kutab-u-Din son of Mannan, both residents of Delhi A/P Beehama Ganderbal.
On their disclosure, stolen property including 12 batteries, one gold coin, three cows and a calf was recovered on their disclosure. Moreover, a vehicle (Auto) bearing registration number JK01P- 4078 used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Meanwhile, people applauded the efforts made by the Police in cracking/solving the burglary cases. “Our consistent actions against the anti-social elements shall re-assure community members that Police has resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any criminal activities,” police said.
