Keep Kashmir connected

In order to curb cyber crime, creating awareness among the masses is the need of the hour. As such cases are witnessing an increase with each passing day, the cyber police Kashmir has taken a unique initiative to hold programmes at many places to make people aware about the tactics of the cyber criminals here, who have been trapping the people and minting money from them. Today, the cyber Jagrukta diwas was celebrated in Kashmir and the series of events have been organized in Srinagar and elsewhere in the Valley. To protect ourselves from these criminals, one has to be very vigilant in dealing with these people and importantly the people should not share any details with them, which could prove disastrous to them. The cyber police have been making fervent appeals to the people, asking them not to share the personal details with anyone in order to remain safe and secure from these criminals, but some different tactics being used by the cyber criminals has to be dealt with very firmly. Therefore, the awareness programme organized Thursday by cyber police needs to be organized in the future as well. There is a dire need of such programmes in order to make people aware and ensure that such cases are put to an immediate end. Moreover, the educational institutions should also take a lead in creating awareness among the people so that the cyber crimes are controlled well on time and the people could heave a sigh of relief.
