Dr Sehrish listens to public issues, demands at Nadihal

Baramulla, Oct 12: Continuing the weekly Special Public Outreach programme across the district and in order to take first hand appraisal of the issues of general people at their door steps, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Wednesday visited Nadihal Baramulla where she chaired a day long Block Diwas.
On the occasion, the DC listened to various issues and demands of people meant for the overall welfare and development of the area.
The programme witnessed large participation of people from Nadihal and its adjoining areas.
Among others, the Public Grievance Redressal Camp was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla Aijaz Abdullah Saraf, ADC Sopore, Parvez Ahmad, Joint Director Planning, Mohd Yousuf Rather and ACD Yaar Ali Khan besides other district and sectoral officers.
During the Grievance Redressal Camp, various public delegations and scores of individuals projected developmental issues before the DC and sought their timely resolution.
The demands put forth by people include macadamization and widening of link and main roads, creation of play fields in the area and filtration plant at Acchabal, augmentation and availability of transformers for the ensuing winter season, providing of sports kits to the youth etc.
After giving a patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, the DC assured that district administration will provide active support for development of the said area and also assured them that all their issues and demands shall be taken with the concerned authorities for their timely redressal.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the administration is keen to streamline public service delivery and added that various developmental works are being identified and subsequently approved for their execution.
