Udhampur, Oct 14: A traffic cop was killed on Thursday night when a speeding truck hit him Udhampur district of the Jammu region.
Police sources said that an unknown truck hit a cop on duty and fled away from the spot.
The cop was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The victim has been identified as Mohan Lal.
The mishap as per police occurred near Garnai Naka in Udhampur.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and launched a hunt to trace the erring driver. (KNT)
