PTM-A way towards success

There is no doubt that the education of a child begins at his home as the parents have a paramount role in the education of their children. To ensure better education and take care of a child at home, the government has come up with a decision to hold monthly Parent Teacher Meetings (PTM) noting that it was an essential part of schooling along with the education and learning of students. Such a decision is all set to ensure better care and education of the students and would certainly give a feedback to the parents with regard to the educational development of their wards. From time to time, the people have been raising alarm over the mass bunk by students as the children wearing uniforms could be seen roaming in the markets and the parks during the school timing. The fresh directive by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) to all the heads of the schools is all set to make sure that the parents are aware about the activities of their wards as they would be able to get all the information during the Parent Teacher Meetings in the educational institutions. Therefore, the decision would be an opportunity to share the academic progress, observation in the classroom and home, assessments and their interaction with teachers and friends. As the PTM is going to ensure growth of a student, there is a need to implement the decision at an earliest and make sure that the meetings are held on time to ensure that the cause behind issuing such a decision is achieved.
