Shopian, Oct 19: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Wednesday presided over a Block Diwas programme here at Mini Secretariat Shopian.
The people of different areas of Shopian projected various demands including road
connectivity, scarcity of portable water facility, reparation of lanes and by- lanes, uninterrupted power supply etc and also put individual and community based grievances for redressal.
DC on the occasion directed the concerned officers for redressal of genuine demands of the people and grievances within the shortest possible time.
Many of the grievances were resolved onspot by the Deputy Commissioner himself.
Joint Director Planning, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, District Animal Husbandry, concerned Block Development Officer, AD Planning, officials of departments besides a large number of people participated in the Block Diwas programme.
