Electronic gadgets in winters

As the temperature has plummeted in the Valley, the cases of fire incidents have been reported in the last few days, thus putting a responsibility on the people with regard to the use of electronic gadgets during the winter period. The fire incidents during the winter increases in the Valley as the use of electronic gadgets, especially during the night hours jeopardizes the property as well as the life of people. Most of the people use the electric gadgets to keep themselves warm during the winters and thus keep such devices on during the night, which increases the risk of fire incidents. Therefore, time and again, the people should understand the responsibility and ensure that there is no such negligence to prevent fatal or devastating incidents. With the temperature plummeting, two fire incidents have been reported in the Valley including at Sopore and Rajouri Kadal in Srinagar. The incidents rendered nearly seven families homeless. The incidents not only cause extensive damage to the properties of the people, but also cause a huge burden on the fire fighters, who are dousing flames. Therefore, it is the time when the people should understand their responsibility and ensure there is no negligence, which may put them in trouble. The use of gadgets should be put to an end during the night hours to prevent fire incidents. The concerned should also create some awareness in this regard so that the people can easily understand their role and take measures well on time.
