Remembering Hazrat Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom (RA)

The observance of vigilance week in Jammu and Kashmir at a time of speedy action against the corrupted officers and officials within the government is imperative to further boost the morale of the sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), who have been doing every bid to eradicate the menace of corruption in the Union Territory. The government has taken a pledge to act against all the persons involved in corrupt practices and as such Jammu & Kashmir’s premier anti-graft body ACB has registered over 100 cases so far in 2022 against government officials for accepting bribes, their involvement in embezzlement of funds, disproportionate assets and other cases. Corruption is a grave issue as it has put the people in trouble always in Jammu and Kashmir as in every department and the section, the people were being asked to pay for even a small cause as well. However, the incumbent administration has provided some relief to the people by taking various steps including digitization of records and also action against the corrupt officials to ensure transparent governance to the common masses. Therefore, the sleuths of ACB should also be appreciated for the hard work and efforts they put in to eradicate the corruption in Jammu and Kashmir. Thus, the observance of vigilance awareness week will not only make them more focussed towards work, but would also give them a push to work with more dedication to end the culture of corruption here so that the people could heave a sigh of relief.
