Srinagar, Nov 15: As UT of Jammu & Kashmir is gradually switching to e-office and online service mechanism, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K Pole Tuesday directed all government departments to integrate online services and schemes with Rapid Assessment System, (RAS), E-UNNAT and Single Window System portals.
In a meeting, here, Div Com asked officers of all the departments to pace up linking their services and schemes on the portals so the general public and benificieries will easily access to their websites at single point and could register for schemes to avail benefits.
While highlighting the importance of online services, Div Com said that online system saves precious time while processing the office work besides it brings transparency, accountability and eliminates harassment.
To facilitate public who need clarification or have any query while accessing portals or about schemes , Div Com told officers to provide toll free numbers & regular telephone number on the portals.
He said the portals shall provide website links to redirect users to the concerned departments.
To dessiminate information to the public regarding schemes & services, Pole directed all the departments to install permanent hoardings at District and Tehsil premises to provide concise information about the schemes, eligibility and benifits so maximum people will be given awareness.
He also directed Labour department to install hoardings at labour market in Srinagar and other districts besides create common facilitate like drinking water and toilet facility at those places.
Meanwhile, Div Com sought compliance report from DCs and HoDs of all the departments within ten days.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners, Director Tourism, Director Health Services Kashmir, Director Urban Local Bodies besides senior officers of Education, Rural sanitation, PDD, PHE, Youth Services & Sports, Colleges, Social Welfare, Information and other departments.
